Remembrance Day Lecture - 11th November 2011

Michael G Swift  is the Stained glass adviser to the Diocese of Truro. He is giving this Remebrance Day Lecture in aid of the Inspire Cornwall Appeal.

It is entitled Pro Patria Mori: Images of Loss and Remembrance in Cornish Stained Glass.

His lecture takes place on Friday 11th November in the Chapter House. 7pm for 7.30pm start.

Tickets £4.00 include a glass of wine or soft drink and are available from the Truro Cathedral Office.

Rick Stein Dinner to aid Inspire Appeal - 16th September 2011


Rick Stein has generously agreed to put together a four-course dinner, on behalf of the Cathedral’s Inspire Cornwall fundraising appeal which includes the current restoration of the central tower and spire.

Restoration draws to a close - 3rd February 2011

Today (3 Feb) Canon Perran Gay, Precentor and Head of Worship at  Truro Cathedral, was given the privilege of mortaring the very last block of stone into place as the year-long restoration of the Cathedral’s central tower and spire draws to a close.

Planning Consent for Phase 2 given by local council - 26th January 2011

Cornwall Council's planning committe gave the thumbs up today for Truro Cathedral's plans to develop the east end as part of its Inspire Cornwall project.
